Child Abuse Prevention
DLA’s commitment to the safety and well-being of its youngest members is evident through the Child Abuse Prevention program, an integral component of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). This initiative focuses on fostering healthy family environments through proactive education, skill-building workshops, and resources aimed at positive parenting and early intervention. Recognizing the unique stressors associated with military life, the program provides support for new parents, offers counseling services, and establishes clear protocols for reporting and responding to allegations of child abuse and neglect. By prioritizing prevention, promoting awareness, and ensuring a network of support, we strive to protect children within our community and strengthen the resilience of families.
