Family Advocacy Program
The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is a critical initiative within the military services with a core mission to address and prevent child abuse and neglect, domestic abuse, and problematic sexual behavior in children and youth. To achieve this, FAP operates in close coordination with key military components and civilian agencies, focusing on several key objectives:
Beyond these core aims, the Family Advocacy Program extends its support to the broader military community, including service members, civilians, and their families. Recognizing the unique challenges inherent in military lifestyles, FAP offers a range of services such as seminars, workshops, counseling, and intervention programs. These resources are designed to strengthen families, enhance resilience and relationship skills, and ultimately improve overall quality of life. Dedicated to a comprehensive approach, FAP actively engages in prevention, education, prompt reporting, investigation, intervention, and treatment related to the complex challenges of domestic abuse, child abuse, and neglect.
