🎉 Get Ready for Family Day at DLA Fort Belvoir and celebrate America 250! 🗽
Mark your calendars for Friday, June 26, 2026, and join us at the McNamara Headquarters Complex for our biggest event of the year! This special Family Day celebration honors America’s 250th Anniversary with exciting indoor and outdoor activities, patriotic entertainment, family-friendly attractions, and opportunities to celebrate our nation’s history and heritage.
🏃 Family Day 5K Run/Walk
Start the day with our Family Day 5K at 7:00 AM! Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to wear their best red, white, and blue and join us for a fun and festive run or walk. ❤️🤍💙
No registration required.
🎆 America250 Celebration Activities
Interactive America250 activity stations will be located throughout the event, including:
- Ring Around the Revolution
- Star-Spangled Toss
- 50 States Map Challenge
- Build Your America250 Flag Craft Station
- Sign the Declaration Photo Opportunity featuring an oversized replica Declaration of Independence
These activities combine family fun with opportunities to learn about our nation’s rich history and celebrate civic pride.
🏍️ Car & Bike Show
Show off your ride in pride at the McNamara Complex Car & Bike Show. Click the link below for more information and to register. Registration fee is $25 which can be paid at the FMWR Gift Shop.
🎡 Kid Zone & Family Attractions (Outdoor)
The Kid Zone will feature activities for children of all ages, including:
- Inflatable bounce houses for toddlers through pre-teens
- Inflatable obstacle course (ages 5+)
- Large inflatable slide (ages 4+)
- Interactive sports inflatables and additional attractions
- Carnival-style games with prizes
- Duck pond games
- Ring toss and ball toss challenges
- Trackless train rides
- Dunk tank station
Families can also enjoy classic lawn games including:
- Cornhole
- Giant Jenga
- Oversized Connect Four

Caricature Artists
Ten professional caricature artists will be stationed indoors from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, featuring America250-themed backdrops and patriotic props for memorable keepsakes.
Roving Performers
Watch for entertainers throughout the event, including:
- Magicians and illusionists
- Jugglers
- Stilt walkers
- Musical variety performers
Movies
Join us in the auditorium for Wicked 2 and Zootopia 2!

The Barbershop will be open during Family Day and offering:

💧 Cooling & Comfort Stations
To help everyone stay comfortable throughout the day, the event will feature:
- Bottled water available in iced coolers
- Tented seating areas
- Misting tents
- Water service stations
- Water coolers with cups
🚭 Please Note:
Smoking is not permitted in front of or behind (pondside) the building during Family Day. Temporary designated smoking areas will be located near the Pod-1 and Pod-10 loading docks. Signage will be posted throughout the building.
