Everyone who participants receives 5 points. The top 20 will receive placement points plus the 5 participation points.
Placement points are 1st– 100, 2nd– 90, 3rd– 80, 4th– 70, 5th– 60, 6th– 55, 7th– 50, 8th– 45, 9th– 40, 10th– 35, 11th– 30, 12th– 25, 13th– 20, 14th– 15, 15th– 14, 16th– 13, 17th– 12, 18th-11, 19th– 10 & 20th– 9 pts.
Strong B.A.N.D.S. “Armed Forces Day” 5K Run/Walk
This run is the first event of the Commander’s Cup Series; teams can accumulate points for this timed run.
Chipping Challenge
Participants within your team will compete with a predetermined amount of golf balls to chip the most golf balls into a hole to gain points.
“Naughty Nine” Strength Competition: June 4, 2026, reserve a time between 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Naughty Nine course requires a mixture of strength, speed, and stamina as you navigate obstacles and perform physical challenges. The course consists of 9 activities performed consecutively.
- Tire flipping for about 15 yards (there is a tire for males and a different one for females)
- Run through a tire ladder
- 90lb Sled Drag
- Pushups
- Males perform a minimum of 20
- Females’ minimum of 10.
- +5 reps = -20 sec time deduction & +10 reps = -30 sec deduction
- Farmers’ Walk w/ Kettlebells
- Male 2ea 80#
- Females 2ea 50#
- Squat Jumps 15 reps
- Kettlebell Swings (minimum 15 reps)
- Male 45#
- Females 25#
- +5 reps = -20 sec time deduction & +10 reps = -30 sec deduction
- Kettlebell Deadlift (minimum 15 reps)
- Male 100#
- Females 60#
- +5 reps = -20 sec time deduction & +10 reps = -30 sec deduction
- Then back through the tire ladder and sprint to the finish line. The participant can shave time off their overall total by performing extra reps in the Pushups, KB Swings & KB Deadlift.
Army Birthday/ Color Run 5K Run/Walk: June 11, 2026, Registration 11 a.m./ Begins 11:30 a.m.
Timed 5K run and 1.3-mile walk. The walkers only receive the 5 participation points.
Home Run Derby: June 16, 2026, 11:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. (Softball Field)
Each participant will receive 25 attempts to hit as many homeruns as possible. Males will use the homerun fence, and there will be a painted line for females that is high school/college regulation distance. A pitching machine will be used for all participants.
Free Throw Challenge: July 8, 2026, reserve a time between 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Participants will have 2 minutes to make as many baskets as possible.
Triple Threat Challenge: July 23, 2026, reserve a time between 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Triple Threat Challenge consists of 3 physical activities that will test your stamina, speed and strength and is a timed event.
- Males
- 20 tire flips on the tire machine in the gymnasium
- 1,000-meter rowing
- 30 Pushups
- Females
- 15 tire flips on the tire machine in the gymnasium
- 1,000-meter rowing
- 20 pushups
Ruck March: August 11, 2026, Registration 6:30 a.m./ Begins 7:00 a.m.
Timed 5.5-mile Ruck March. To earn placement points, you must finish with a ruck, backpack or vest weighing a min. of 20 pounds that will be weighed at the finish line.
Triathlon: August 13, 2026, Registration 11 a.m./ Run Begins 11:30 a.m.
- The Triathlon is a timed event consisting of 3 activities performed consecutively.
- 2km (1.34 mile) Run
- 4-mile bike ride (participates need to bring their own bike and helmet)
- 300meter swim (10 laps= down 1, back 2, down 3, back 4, and so on)
Soccer Shot Challenge: August 20, 2026, reserve a time between 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Each participant will have 9 attempts to score as many points as possible from 12 yards and 1 bonus ball from 15 yards. Object is to either put the soccer ball into the large 55-gallon trash can or hit the can.
- Scoring:
- 12 yards
- 5 points= in the can
- 1 point= hit the can
- 15 yards
- 10 points= in the can
- 5 points= hit the can
Punt, Pass & Kick Competition: September 3, 2026, reserve a time between 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Softball Field) Each participant will be given three (3) punt attempts, three (3) passe attempts, and three (3) place kick attempts as part of his/her competition. The participant’s top attempt for punting, passing, and kicking will be taken and added together for a cumulative total. A participant’s final score is his/her cumulative total for the three individual events.
Remembrance 10K Grand Finale: September 10, 2026, Registration 11 a.m./ Run Begins 11:30 a.m. The 10K grand finale features a 6.2-mile route along Perimeter Road, offering participants a change of pace and new scenery with accessible water stations. The normal 1.34 mile walking route will be available for participates that do not wish to run.
