The Defense Distribution San Joaquin Child Development Center is a NAEYC Accredited childcare program. All programs are designed to enrich your child’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and intellectual growth and development. Our team forms a partnership with parents to meet each individual child’s needs in a safe and nurturing environment built on trust and respect. Our program utilizes a research-based curriculum, Early Learning Matters (ELM), that ensures children develop school readiness skills, while valuing the teacher’s vital role in making learning fun and engaging for every child.

Quality – Childcare is nationally recognized, accredited and exceeds all performance standards.
Convenience – Childcare is available on the Installation.
Affordability – Childcare costs are affordable to all families.
Accountability – Our managers are well trained and competent in safeguarding the Defense Logistics Agency resources by providing efficient management oversight, good fiscal stewardship to reduce waste and protect assets. Child and Youth programs are not meant to produce a profit but are expected to break even.

All four of these cornerstones must work in harmony – a program can have sufficient “availability,” but if low quality, no one will use the spaces; a program may be meeting 100% of the demand, but perhaps at a cost the Department of Defense cannot sustain.
