Children’s Art Contest Submissions

Do you have a child or youth with artistic talent?  If so, the Family Advocacy Program has an opportunity for them to let their talent shine!

Children are invited to prepare and submit a drawing, painting, or project to be entered into the 2022 Children’s Art Contest!

Theme: "My Happy Place"

• Children are invited to create a piece of art that show the people and places that make them feel happy!

Various mediums can be used, to include:

• Paint, crayon, pencil, chalk, clay, collage, pastel, multicolored drawing, watercolor, mixed media, monochromatic, printmaking, sculpture, etc.

Submissions:

• Submissions will be accepted Mar. 1-31.
• All entries must be received no later than Mar. 31 in order to participate.

How to ENTER?

• Virtually:  Submit a digital picture of your child's artwork to MWR Susquehanna Facebook or via email to the FAP Program Manager (email link).
  • Please take 2-3 photos of your child's work of artwork to submit digitally.
  • Recommend high-resolution, JPEGs or PNGs.
• In Person:  Please call 717-770-7066 to schedule a drop off appointment at the Family Advocacy Program Office, G Avenue, Bldg. 400.
• OR... Child and Youth Program (CYP) students can submit their artwork in to their classroom teachers.

How to VIEW?

Patrons are invited to view all the great submissions and show you support to the children who entered!

• All artwork will be displayed Apr. 3-7 on MWR Susquehanna Facebook!
  • Locate the "Children's Art Contest" Photo Album.
  • 'Like', share, and comment to show your support!

Additional Details:

• Open to all children, ages 5-14, of Active Duty Military Service Members, retired military and spouses, and current or retired DoD civilian employees.
• Certificates/awards will be presented to all submissions in various categories.
