October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!
Join the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) & MWR Sports and Fitness Department to help raise awareness of domestic violence by participating in the Domestic Violence Awareness 5K Fun Run/1-Mile Walk on Oct. 24 (originally scheduled for Oct. 16).
- Registration begins: 11:30 a.m.
- Opening remarks: 11:50 a.m.
- Run/Walk begins: 12 p.m.
- Starting Location: Fitness Center, 15th Street, Bldg. 320.
- Open to all ID/CAC cardholders.

Did you know? 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. An average of 3 women die every day at the hands of a current or former intimate partner. Join us by wearing or displaying purple on Wednesday, Oct. 16 to raise awareness about domestic violence.
Use this as YOUR opportunity to get involved, take a stand against domestic violence, and express your solidarity with survivors of domestic violence and their families.
