The Fitness Center provides our clients with a variety of services in order to enhance your workout experience.
Massage is a gentle therapy that can relieve pain, and in combination with medical attention, heal certain conditions and help prevent their return. Massage helps with stress, painful or tight muscles, delayed muscle soreness, pain or tingling in the arms or legs, minor injuries, prevention of new injuries, pain or restriction in the joints, posture, and fluid retention.
The MWR Fitness Center has a certified massage therapist. Mary Stanton has 20 years of experience and graduated from the Kalamazoo Center for Healing Arts. She is certified in several types of massage - Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Reflexology, Trigger Point and Pre-Natal - and has a working knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Massages are by appointment only. To make an appointment, email Martha.Kerns@dla.mil or call 269-961-5350. Massage sessions are held in the Fitness Center Massage Room. Payment of cash or check must be made at the time of scheduling, or within 24 hours prior to the appointment. Payment may only be accepted at the Fitness Center located at Room 2C-B-1 between the hours of 0800 and 1400 hours.
Prices are as follows:
- 15 Minutes - $16
- 30 Minutes - $30
- 45 Minutes - $45
- 60 Minutes - $60
Change in Locker Rental Policy
All lockers at the HDIFC Fitness Center will be available on a first come, first serve basis for daily use only beginning on October 1, 2016. All locks, clothing, equipment, etc. must be removed from lockers each day prior to the posted closing time. All lockers found to have locks securing them will be cut off at the end of each day by the staff.
