Events

Eligibility: Authorized MWR patrons (see AR 215-1, Chapter 7), 18 years and older, can enter the tournament. Each team is responsible for ensuring all members can access the Fort Gregg-Adams installation. MWR cannot sponsor players or grant installation access

Format: A four-person scramble featuring teams of four players competing against one another. In this format, each team's players hit from the tee box, then the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team then records its score and maintains that format for all 18 holes. If a team has less than 4 players, the team will still play 4 shots.

Prizes: There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd place winning teams as well as individual prizes for best par-3 and longest drive.

Registration and Payment Deadline: Tuesday, September 26, 2023.  To complete registration online, please visit SurveyMonkey.com/r/1023DSCRClassicGolfTournament.  Paper registration forms are also available at the Red Brick Fitness Center (DSCR, Bldg. 32, F Bay, Front Counter).  Payments can be made Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 3:30PM by phone at (804) 279-1091 or in person at Tickets & More (DSCR Bldg. 46, Rm. 189).

Fee: The $75 per person fee includes course green and golf cart fees, a buffet lunch, swag bags for the first 80 players that register and pay, and chances to win team and individual prizes.

Cancellation Policy: The tournament may be cancelled due to inclement weather and/or lack of participation.
