  • Bettye Ackerman-Cobb CDC is open.  Operating hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-5:00PM.
  • CDC is operating with screening procedures and limited capacity to ensure adequate social distancing.  Children of DLA mission essential personnel, dual and single active-duty military personnel, and CDC employees have priority.  Other enrolled patrons are offered care as capacity allows.
  • Only authorized and scheduled visitors are allowed inside the facility and must wear face masks even if vaccinated.  CDC employees wear face masks and children over the age of two are requested to wear parent-provided face masks, unless outside.  The CDC is communicating directly with parents in more detail.

The Bettye Ackerman-Cobb Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). It is a government owned and operated facility managed through the Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) organization. The primary goal of the child development center is to provide educational learning experiences and a variety of opportunities that promote the child's physical, social and intellectual growth following the Creative Curriculum.

To be eligible to receive care at the Bettye Ackerman-Cobb Child Development Center parents must belong to one of the eligible patronage groups found under the Childcare Eligibility tab. In addition children must have a current shot record and be between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years. Enrollment in our program includes the CDC staff providing Meals that include breakfast, lunch and a snack supplement served daily according to USDA guidelines.
