Hello, my name is Elizabeth Ramos. My over 15 years of experience extends to working in the private, non-profit, county and military childcare settings with children ages 6 weeks to 18 years of age. I started in this field as an Education Technician in Sigonella Sicily working for the Navy in a two-year-old classroom. I was seeking a profession that offered an enjoyable environment and career advancement opportunities. Child Youth Services (CYS) was a perfect match for me! Growing up as the daughter of a Master Sergeant in the Marine Corps I experienced the military culture firsthand and appreciate the importance educators play in a child’s life. Working with CYS has allowed me the chance to work in different roles such as Caregiver, Assistant Director and Facility Director and oversee various responsibilities. I enjoy working with children and find great joy and feel privileged that I could work with children and my team every day and know we have a hand in preparing our community's children for the future. It's very rewarding to have a job where I receive smiles, hugs, and laughter daily. Being able to see children meet different milestones and watch them navigate through new experiences never gets old. It is always special when I can witness a “light bulb” moment!
As a child and adult, I have lived oversees in Cuba, Sicily and Japan, which has fueled my love for traveling. I enjoy visiting new places and exploring them while meeting new people. My passport can never have enough stamps! Crocheting is another passion and am always trying to improve my skills by challenging myself to learn new creations.
I am grateful and thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with your most precious gift in life. I look forward to meeting you and the fulfilled year ahead!
