Our Fitness Specialists will guide you through 8 weeks of fitness challenges, instruct you on healthy eating habits, and encourage your journey to a healthier, happier you. Participate for a chance to win weekly prizes along with Top 3 Male/Female grand prizes (Airpod Pros).

Max Meltdown is open to all eligible patrons of the DSCC-MWR Fitness Center, 18 years of age and older.  Visit the bottom of this page for a full list of rules.

STEP TWO:  WEIGH-IN

Visit the DSCC-MWR Fitness Center for your Initial Weigh-in January 9-13, 2023.




WEEKLY CHALLENGES

Participation: 50 Points  |  Winner 75 points

  • Week One:  Walking Challenge (Jan 16-21)
    Walk as many miles as possible while logging the MILES with the Fitness Center Front Desk Staff. Show a picture of your miles on the treadmill or show your miles on a tracking device.
  • Week Two:  Good Log Challenge (Jan 22-28)
    Use the MyFitnessPal or a journal to log your meals this week.  Those who participate in 7 days of logging will be entered in a drawing for the weekly prize.
  • Week Three:  Spinner Week (Jan 29 - Feb 4)
    Spin for bonus points this week! Participants have the opportunity to come in at max twice a day to spin the wheel and participate in exercises for +10pts per spin. No prize will be given out this week.
  • Week Four:  Water Intake Week (Feb 5-11)
    Use MyFitnessPal or a journal to log daily water intake. Those who participate in 7 days of logging will be entered in a drawing for the weekly prize.
  • Week Five:  Stairmaster Challenge (Feb 12-18)
    Climb for as many minutes as possible while logging the MINUTES with the Fitness Center Front Desk Staff. Show a picture of your minutes on the Stairmaster.



FEB 6-10

STEP 3:  MID-CONTEST WEIGH-IN (OPTIONAL)

Visit the DSCC-MWR Fitness Center for your optional Mid-Contest Weigh-In February 6 - 10, 2023.




WEEKLY CHALLENGES (cont.)

  • Week Five:  Stairmaster Challenge (Feb 12-18)
    Climb for as many minutes as possible while logging the MINUTES with the Fitness Center Front Desk Staff. Show a picture of your minutes on the Stairmaster.
  • Week Six:  Cardio Trifecta Week 1 (Feb 19-25)
    Cardio Trifecta Week is a 2-week challenge, where participants are required to log as many MILES as possible in running, biking and rowing. Pictures of miles will need to be logged with the Fitness Center Front Desk Staff. In order to be entered in the drawing and receive points for this challenge, participants need to participate in all 3 (running, biking and rowing) and must log at least 10 miles.
  • Week Seven:  Cardio Trifecta Week 2 (Feb 26-Mar 4)
    Same as week six.
  • Week Eight:  Self-Motivation Week (Mar 5-11)
    Choose a workout at the gym and track that workout. For participation points, come to the Fitness Center 5 days this week and complete an exercise of your choice. Those that show up 5 days this week will be entered in a prize drawing.



MAR 13-17

STEP FOUR:  FINAL WEIGH-OUT

 

Visit the DSCC-MWR Fitness Center for your Final Weigh-in March 13-17, 2023.




GROUP WORKOUTS


MAX MELTDOWN 2023 RULES

 

Max Meltdown 2023 participants will register December 1, 2022 - January 4, 2023. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email and contestant number. Participants will complete their registration by attending the weigh-in at the DSCC-MWR Fitness Center Jan 9-13, 2023. Final weigh-out will be open March 13-17, 2023. Winners will be announced on or around March 22, 2023. First name and last initial of winners will be posted to the DSCC-MWR website and social media pages.  Prizes can be picked up at Fitness Center.  Any prize not picked up by April 30, 2023 will be forfeited.

We will be giving away fitness-related prizes to help participants continue their health and fitness journey. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

Scoring: All individuals MUST attend weigh-in and weigh-out sessions during the dates stated above.  All sessions include a body analyzer test. There will be no exceptions. When participants are asked to log information with the fitness center staff, participants must adhere to those rules to keep the program fair. Scoring is based on highest body weight lost % (lbs. lost/Starting Weight) X 100%, plus any additional points earned throughout the competition. Participants can earn extra points by participating in weekly challenges and group classes. These points turn into pounds at the end of the Max Meltdown Program. 1000 points= 3lbs. Participants will have a Journal to keep track of points and Fitness Staff must sign off on all points to count at the end.
