MWR Battle Creek Sports and Fitness Program would like to invite you to participate in Sole Survivor 2022. Sole survivor is a friendly competition to promote the benefits of daily walking and help keep us motivated to be active. Feel better as you join us for the challenge. Walking helps increase our heart rate, lower the risk of heart disease, improves blood pressure, helps us clear our mind, and provides an opportunity to meditate.   It also gets us outside so we can enjoy the view and relax.

Remember that just 30 minutes of walking every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, increase bones, reduce excess body fat, boost muscle power and endurance.

Walk:
Beginners: 6,000 steps a day every day.
Intermediate: 8,000 steps a day every day.
Advance: 10,000 steps a day every day.

Sole survivor starts April 4th, 2022 and lasts 100 Days or until 1 last “sole” survivor remains.

Each level can have a sole survivor to win as the last participant or a tie as the one who walks the most steps.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Each day submit your GPS picture or favorite app. to record your steps or update your steps once a week by emailing the GPS screen shots of each day of the week at the end of the week.

If you prefer to create a team, send us the team’s name, team members you be able to walk together creating support and camaraderie. Each team member needs send their own GPS pictures.
